Dragons Den is a reality television program format in which entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to a panel of venture capitalists in the hope of receiving investment. The format was created by Nippon Television Network Corporation in 2001 and has since been adapted in over 30 countries around the world.

In the UK, Dragons' Den has been broadcast on BBC Two since 2005. The show features five multimillionaire investors, or "dragons", who listen to entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas. The dragons then decide whether or not to invest in the businesses, and if so, how much money they are willing to invest.

Dragons Den Format

Each episode of Dragons' Den features a number of different entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas to the dragons. The entrepreneurs have a limited amount of time to pitch their idea, and the dragons then have the opportunity to ask questions and grill the entrepreneurs on their business plans.

At the end of each pitch, the dragons decide whether or not to invest in the business. If a dragon is interested in investing, they will make an offer to the entrepreneur. The entrepreneur then has the opportunity to accept or reject the offer.
