18 Dead, 19 Injured in Bus-Milk Tanker Crash

A devastating collision between a bus and a milk tanker on the Agra-Lucknow expressway in Unnao district has claimed the lives of 18 individuals and critically injured 19 others.
The accident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, March 1, 2023, near Kotwali police station. According to preliminary reports, the bus was carrying passengers from Bihar to Delhi when it collided head-on with the milk tanker. The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to catch fire, trapping numerous passengers.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and worked tirelessly to extricate the victims. The injured were transported to nearby hospitals, where 19 individuals are reported to be in critical condition. The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakhs for each deceased individual. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, has ordered an immediate investigation into the cause of the accident.
